Developer News 2019

After a mild but rainy winter resulting in wet turf that impeded heavy equipment, infrastructure work on Verdant, a 44-lot neighborhood, has resumed.  If weather cooperates, we will be putting those home sites on the market this summer.  Meanwhile, the first homes are going up in Watercrest, a new, lake front community.  Plus, new custom home construction is getting revved up, with more than 20 now in some stage of construction.  Land planning is underway for an extension of our successful Bayberry Park neighborhood and for a new Carolina Lake front tract.

All site work was completed for our dog park/recreational vehicle parking facility last fall.  By the end of April, we should be ready to grass the park and rock the parking area, allowing the fences to be installed.  Dogs should be running about mid-summer.

On the commercial side, two of the out-parcels in our Harris Teeter commercial center are about to see occupants.  Harris Teeter plans to start one of its gasoline stations on one while First Citizens bank is getting approvals for a branch bank on another.

It promises to be a busy year for all of us at Carolina Colours!
